A bit about me
The first thing you should know about me is that I have a passion for the English language, I love the way in which it can be crisp, correct and concise, but can also ignite and burn with a passion that is truly irresistible.
This has led me to publish four full-length novels as of January 2025 with a fifth in progress.
As well as writing, I do, of course read – voraciously in fact! Though I must confess my reading tastes lean towards the romantic.
I enjoy painting too, when I have the time and the inspiration, sometimes taking scenes from my own books to depict on canvas or paper. You can find my artwork on my Instagram at @little.book.of.dreams
About my history
I have been writing all my life; a school teacher once wrote in my report, “Claire has a flair for writing stories …” To date I have written, edited and proof read four of my own full length novels, soon to be five. Over the many years during which I have been writing, I have painstakingly developed the skills necessary to proof read text to a high quality finish. Indeed, I believe it is this process which has led me to my current vocation of proof reader. It is an activity I enjoy immensely.
Prior to this I have brought up my family. Happily they have all reached their late teens or early 20s and I now have the time to pursue other interests and explore new vocations.
Another passion of mine is cooking foods from around the world; it is quite a tradition in our home to watch the World Cup eating foods specific to the countries playing.
